(NASDAQ:QADA) (NASDAQ:QADB), a leading provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions and services for global manufacturers, today announced that the fourth version of the AIAG/Odette Materials Management Operations Guideline/Logistics Evaluation (MMOG/LE) tool for the global automotive supply chain will be featured at the AIAG Supply Chain Summit in Livonia, Michigan on March 18. MMOG/LE Version 4 is scheduled for release in April.
QAD Automotive Director Terry Onica will provide an overview of the revisions to MMOG/LE Version 4 and lead a panel discussing the implementation and assessment processes which will include representatives from Ford, Chrysler and General Motors.
The MMOG/LE tool enables organizations in the global automotive supply chain to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of its Materials Management and Logistics capability and performance. Members of the MMOG/LE Global Workgroup include the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), Odette, OEMs, suppliers and service providers.
Created as a best practices tool assessment for vehicle manufacturers, it is reviewed every three years to ensure it continues to meet best practices in the automotive industry. In addition to the full 197 criteria assessment for OEMs, MMOG/LE Version 4 also includes a basic version with 106 criteria for suppliers. Both versions are based on rigorous, commonly agreed criteria and provide a meaningful road map for continuous improvement opportunities.
MMOG/LE Basic is designed to:
- Enable lower tier suppliers to compare its processes with world-class best practices
- Assist in the development of a continuous improvement plan
- Identify critical areas for improvement
- Provide a starting point for eventually completing a full MMOG/LE assessment and achieving world-class best practices status
