  • TM Module Setup
    1
The Transportation Management (TM) module does not use the same INITIAL_JOB_SETUP logic as the ERP and EAM modules. It has a single pre-set list of jobs that are run in a specific order for each TM source. The important parameters to configure are:
TM_LOAD_SOURCE_S01. Enter the name of the first TMS source.
TM_LOAD_SOURCE_SXX. If you have more than one source, add additional parameters for each source; for example, TM_LOAD_SOURCE_S02, TM_LOAD_SOURCE_S03.
TM_LOAD_TRANS_TYPES_S01. Enter the transaction types you want to load from TMS source, single quotes, and comma separators; for example, 'S','T'.
TM_LOAD_TRAN_TYPES SXX. If you have more than one source, add additional parameters for each source; for example, TM_LOAD_TRANS_TYPES_S02, TM_LOAD_TRANS_TYPES_S03.
TM_LOAD_SINGLE_SOURCE. Set this value to Y or N, depending on whether you want to process all source systems in a single extract or a specific source system.
TM_LOAD_LOOKBACK_DAYS. Set this to a large number for the initial data extract. The number must be large enough to ensure that you extract all the data you want to include in the BI system for historical analysis. After the first data load completes, set this to a smaller value in order to limit each daily load to just the period in which there can be new or modified transactions.
    2
To run the TM load, start the job DAILY _START_TM.
    3
The TM module is set by default to handle SQL Server-based sources. If your TMS system is based in Progress or Oracle, run the TM_ConvertSource job. Set these parameters before running the job:
TM_SourceConvert_SchemaORA. If your source is in Oracle, enter the schema name. For Progress databases, the schema is assumed to be PUB.
    TM_SourceConvert_TargetSource. Enter oracle or progress.
