  • Procedure
    1
Start a terminal session on the QAD Enterprise Edition server.
    2
Extract the installer ZIP file into an empty directory.
Note: The absolute path to this directory is referenced in the remainder of this document as [INSTALLATION DIR].
    3
As a convenience, assign the environment variable QDT to the location where QDT is installed.
    Syntax for Unix:
    export QDT=[absolute path to QDT]
    For example:
    export QDT=/usr/local/qdt
    Syntax for Windows:
    export QDT=[absolute path to QDT]
    echo $QDT
    set QDT=[absolute path to QDT]
    echo %QDT%
    4
Run the installer, replacing the tokens as follows.

    [ENVIRONMENT]
The name of the target environment.
Note: To see a list of candidate names, list the contents of the $QDT/envs directory.
    [INSTALLATION DIR]
The absolute path to the directory where you extracted the installer ZIP file.
    $QDT/pstage/netui-module-standard/install.sh
        –Dconfig.src=$QDT
        –Dconfig.env=[ENVIRONMENT]
        –Dinstallation=[INSTALLATION DIR]
        –i silent
Important: The command should be entered on a single line, as shown in the example.
    For example:
    $QDT/pstage/netui-module-standard/install.sh -Dconfig.src=$QDT -Dconfig.env=production -Dinstallation=/tmp/i19-pi-finance -i silent
