QDocs are inbound, XML, SOAP-compliant, data documents for target QAD Enterprise Applications instances. A QDoc is not accepted by QXI, however, unless it validates at least one schema document—for QDocs using the 1.1 syntax—or two schema documents if the QDoc uses the 1.0 syntax. In addition, if using the UI adapter, a QDoc is not entered into QAD Enterprise Applications unless an events file exists for the target program. Events files are not used for service interface APIs or the JITS API adapter.
QDoc schemas and events files are generated in the QGen utility from a QGen-built data file.
The following sections show examples of each of the various QDoc components—data file, QDoc schema, and target program events file.
