  • Key User-Defined Lookup Configuration
    This section discusses the key areas in the user-defined lookup data in PRECISION—menu option UY—where the lookup domains and codes must follow prescribed naming conventions. These user-defined lookups are supplied with the PRECISION Base database. Do not change these lookups. However, you can change the associated descriptions that are displayed in the Web UI.

    This user-defined lookup stores the codes and associated descriptions for the available alert/exception priorities.

    This user-defined lookup stores the codes and associated descriptions for the available transaction shipping plan alert/exception types, including:
    Generic alert or exception types that carrier status codes are mapped to, such as CUSTOMS_ISSUE.
    System-generated alert or exception types PEM can raise automatically, such as NO_CARRIER_ACTIVITY.

    Comment Reason Codes
    To add pack comments, use the Pack Comments task. You can predefine repetitive comment texts using reason codes. On the PEM Portal, you can then select a reason code to include in a comment. The wording associated with the reason code defaults into the comment. You can also edit the comment.
