If your administrator included the compliance step in your Desktop Shipping wizard, compliance checks are run when you click Next on the Origin/Destination step. There are many compliance checks available. These checks can be run within Desktop Shipping, within Workflow, or independently through the Trade Compliance menu. The most common compliance checks that run within Desktop Shipping are the Denied Parties Check and the Embargoed Countries Check. Depending on how your administrator has configured the compliance step, failure of a compliance step may prevent you from moving on to the next step. Similarly, failure of a check causes the compliance page to open, as in Compliance Page, or displays a pop-up window within the Origin/Destination window, as in Compliance Pop-Up Window.
