  • Package Details
    You can record the details of a single package using the Package Details section of the Origin/Destination step. Use the Package Details step to enter information about multiple packages. To view this page, in the Package Details section of the Origin/Destination step, select Multiple Packages before moving to the next screen. Package Details Step displays the Package Details step.

    Package Details Step
    Package(s) Contains
    Depending on the contents of your shipment, select Documents or Products/Commodities. Enter a description of the package in the text field.
    If you want to insure the shipment, select insurance.
    International Shipment
    If you are creating an international shipment, select this field.
    Number of Packs
    Specify the number of packs in the shipment using the drop-down menu.
    Specify Size Using
    To specify a predefined pack size using the Size field, select Pack Size. If you want to specify exact weight measurements using the Weight fields, select Entered Dimensions.
    Use this field with the Specify Size Using field. Choose from a list of predefined pack types and sizes, including cartons and pallets. Each entry in the lookup list has details of the pack type, dimensions, and maximum weight and volume.
    Specify the pack weight. The field can be configured to accept values in pounds and ounces or you can select the unit of measure using a lookup icon.
    Insurance Value
    The insurance value of the package.
    COD Value
    Collect on Delivery Value. Specify the amount that the carrier is to collect from the consignee when delivering the package.
    Customs Value
    Specify the customs value of the package.
    If you set Number of Packs to a value greater than one, multiple packages appear on the screen. To copy the contents of package n to the next package, click the Copy from Package <n> link.
