New Features Overview
QAD Warehousing was rebranded for QAD 2012 EE.
Fixes
The following improvements were made to QAD Warehousing for this release:
Purchase Order Receipts (5.13.1) now passes the correct input parameters, such as site, warehouse, location, part, lot number, reference, dataset, purchase order number, order line, and transaction type to a custom program that you define in Internal Routing Assignment Maintenance (4.2.9) when you set printing options in Warehouse Maintenance (4.1.1) and Internal Routing Maintenance (4.2.5). Previously, in this scenario, some of the parameters passed to the custom program were blank when the custom program executed.
Purchase Order Receipts (5.13.1) now correctly generates pallet references when you set the Receive All field to Yes during the receipts in Purchase Order Receipts (5.13.1). Previously, the system did not generate pallet references.
Available Kit Quantity to Ship (7.1.8) now displays the quantity short and quantities under the kit quantity for the components (shown as an asterisk (*)) when the available quantity to allocate is less than the open quantity for an order. Previously, the quantity short and the * were not displayed.
The RF BP Pick SO/DO option (3.1) now correctly prompts you to print labels and prints the labels when you respond with Yes when you confirm a pick and set the Post-Print Option to Prompt to postpone labels (option 2) in Batch Picking Control (4.15.24). Previously, the system did not display prompts to post-print the labels.
The RF Transfer option (1.3) no longer transfers inventory to a blank location when warehouse staff press the End-Error key twice after they select the destination location. Previously, the system transferred inventory to a blank location in this scenario.
Pre-Shipper/Shipper Workbench (7.9.2) no longer displays a Progress error, and the system now correctly updates tare weight and net weight for level 0 and level 1 when warehouse staff move the items of one container into another container, using the RF Item Move option (3.7). Previously, the system displayed an error and incorrectly calculated net and tare weights.
The RF Select Task option (1.2) now lets warehouse staff confirm a move task of a valid pallet reference from the receive location to the stage-in location when you:
Set the system flavor to Selection by Reference (option B) in Work Location Group Maintenance (4.3.9).
Define destination locations in the Stage (In) field in Warehouse Location Maintenance (4.3.13).
Previously, in this scenario, the system displayed an error message and did not confirm the move task.
Warehouse Transaction Inquiry (4.9.1) now correctly displays the receipt number and line and the receiver for the INSP-PO or BACK-PO transaction type.
Warehouse Transaction Inquiry (4.9.1) now correctly displays FAIL-PO transactions when inspections fail in the RF Inspection Results option (4). Previously, the RF Inspection Results option did not create FAIL-PO transactions.
Receipts – Unplanned (3.9) no longer displays an error informing you that destination locations cannot be found and now correctly creates the put-away task when you set Alternative UM to Acquire UM from Destination SLG (option 13) in Internal Routing Maintenance (4.2.5) and the storage location has enough capacity to store the item.
Picklist/Pre-Shipper – Automatic (7.9.1) has improved performance when you set the algorithm to LF (option 3) in Algorithm Assignment Maintenance (4.6.9). Previously, the performance was poor.
The RF Select Task option (1.2) now lets warehouse staff confirm the task of multi-item pallet transfer between locations when the system creates the task using Warehouse Transfer By Reference (4.17.1) and you set the flavor to B in Work Location Group Maintenance (4.3.9). Previously, the system displayed an error informing you that the change was not supported, and the task was not confirmed.
Work Order Component Issue (16.10) now correctly creates a task when warehouse staff return a component to inventory that was previously issued against a work order. Previously, the system did not create a task.
Location Maintenance (4.3.13) now correctly displays the capacity value when you define both of the following:
More than one UM as a limit for the location
The net weight UM for the item in Item Master Maintenance (1.4.1) is the same as the UM you define for the location
Previously, in the above scenario, the system incorrectly calculated the capacity value.

New Features Overview
QAD Warehousing was rebranded for QAD 2011.1 EE
Fixes
The following improvements were made to QAD Warehousing for this release:
QAD Warehousing programs were modified so that the system no longer has issues when scanning Serial Shipping Container Code (SSCC) numbers.
The system no longer has issues when processing shipped stock that was left in dispatch area. Previously, when staff performed a repick across multiple pallets for a pre-shipper during batch picking, the system duplicated inventory.
Movement Confirmation Workbench (4.8.7) no longer displays the Start date must be prior to end date error message when setting up movement confirmation processing.
Warehouse Order Detail Status Inquiry (4.15.4.1) no longer displays a blank Carrier field when you enter carrier data in the Shipvia field in Distribution Order Maintenance (12.17.14). Previously, when carrier data existed in Distribution Order Maintenance, Warehouse Order Detail Status Inquiry displayed no values in the Carrier field.
A new Date Created field was added to Cycle Count Generation (4.18.12) to let you specify a date for cycle count transactions for the item/location that the system uses as criteria when selecting items/locations to count.
The Prefix field in External Device Setup (4.23.22) now correctly processes symbols that you enter as barcode separators with scanned-in barcodes that comply with UCC/EAN-128 encoding standards. Previously, the system incorrectly processed some separators and did not properly display error messages when you entered invalid separators. Now, when the prefix does not match stored prefixes within the system in the mfg_ctrl table, the system displays one of two errors:
Defined prefix not found in the barcode: The prefix you entered is not defined in mfc_ctrl, and therefore, not available for use.
Prefix does not match barcode: The prefix for the barcode does not match prefix-barcode records in mfc_ctrl.

New Features Overview
New features and enhancements for this release include the following:
The following topics describe the new enhancements.
New Browse Collections
Several new .NET UI browse collections were added to QAD Warehousing. Like other .NET UI browse collections, a QAD Warehousing browse collection comprises a main browse and one or more supporting browses, or elements.
The data in the top portion drives the data in supporting browses of the main browse collection. So, for instance, if you are using the Manage Inbound ASN menu collection, which embeds the Inbound ASN Detail Browse, the selection you make in the top portion within Manage Inbound ASN drives the data you see in the bottom portion within Inbound ASN Detail browse.
When data displays in supporting element browses, an arrow displays in the row of data that relates to your selection in the main browse. This helps you trace back to the record for which you are reviewing data. The following lists the new browse collections.

Fixes
The following improvements were made to QAD Warehousing for this release:
QAD Warehousing now correctly considers Item-Site Inventory Data Maint (1.4.16) values. Previously, the system did not take some values from this program into account; for example, when the item number had a site and location in Item Master Maintenance (1.4.1) that differed from Item-Site Inventory Data Maint, the system only used values from Item Master Maintenance.
Pallet Build and Pallet Split functions now verify detail allocated inventory. Previously, when building a new pallet made of boxes, if those boxes were from a pre-shipper, the system did not verify whether inventory was detail allocated; subsequently, this broke the inventory structure and prevented pre-shipper changes.
The system no longer uses customer item codes when scanning information on the external device. This caused issues as customers were not necessarily related to inventory items.
All RF menu options now display correctly on the RF device. Previously, Item Inv Inq (5.1) and Address Inq (5.10) did not display on the RF device.
The system no longer creates duplicated put-away transactions. Previously, the system created a duplicated put-away transaction for unplanned receipts, which caused the inventory to be transferred twice and created corrupt inventory. The duplicated put-away transaction was corrected.
Wave numbers now display correctly in inquiries and reports. Previously, the system failed to pass the correct parameters to the server, causing Order Whse Detail Status Inquiry (4.15.4.1) and Wave Close Batch/Report (4.15.18) to not display expected wave numbers.
Warehouse Transaction Inquiry (4.9.1) now displays the correct data during a DO receipt. Previously, when staff received a DO, the system created an RCT-DO transaction in QAD Warehousing; however, the transaction details, such as the receipt number and line number, were not correct.
The RF Receipts (1.8) option now correctly receives ASNs.
Previously, when you received an ASN with the RF Receipts (1.8) menu option, the system received only part of the ASN, causing the system to consider only the discrepancies between the ASN and the scanned records. Also, after the results display, the system now correctly returns to the Receipts frame and displays the correct data.
RF inquiries now display correct screen titles when linking generalized code records to system procedure codes for the RF inquiries.
Standard PO receipts on serial-controlled items now function without displaying errors.
Previously, when you performed a PO receipt with serialized items, the system correctly generated serial numbers, then processed some line entry receipts, yet displayed errors for other line entry receipts.
Pre-Shipper/Shipper Print (7.9.4) now performs correctly with QAD Warehousing. Previously, when the program looked for a task for the pre-shipper, it failed to find a TranD record for abs ID; therefore, the program presented a warning when it found a task.
The system now correctly displays the Picking frame in Warehouse Maintenance (4.1.1) and Warehouse Control (4.1.24) in the .NET UI environment.
The programs within the Bulk Picking module (4.14) now function correctly when processing kits.
For Item-Whse Maintenance (4.4.11):
The system no longer displays the error No PartWhseM record is available when an item is not available in Item-Whse Maintenance (4.4.11).
The .NET UI now supports the Ref field in the Inspection Data frame. Previously, when you enabled the field by clicking on it, the system did not save your entry.
The system no longer displays an error when you attempt to ship a DO with the RF device. This typically occurred after you generated a packing list and confirmed movements to the lane, then attempted to ship from the RF device.
The missing field label in Address Warehouse Detail Maintenance (4.13.13) now displays.
The system now correctly issues a receipt instead of inventory once you receive an SO previously shipped, remove inventory from the receiving area (an ISS-SO transaction), then receive the quantities back into the receiving area.
When performing an RF kanban scan, the system no longer erroneously indicates that replenishment is complete when it is not possible to transfer a complete kanban quantity. Previously, system displayed the REPL Complete message when there was not enough stock to transfer the complete kanban quantity, but it was partially fulfilled.
