Course Details: This course is not intended to take the place of implementation training or consulting. The complete body of knowledge required to make the business decisions required for system setup and implementation are beyond the scope of this course.

QAD designed this course for those who need an introduction to the basic QAD 2008 Enterprise Edition. The Quick Start is for those who want to “hit the ground running” with the application software. This accelerated course provides a focused introduction to the fundamentals of the system and demonstrates how to apply the functionality to critical business processes. The format for this course is designed for the classroom with each student completing their own hands-on activities that simulate how to use QAD 2008 Enterprise Edition to run a business.

Part I, Customization of Component-Based QAD Applications, covers back-end and UI front-end non-intrusive customization of QAD component-based applications. The areas covered include standard component-based functions and reports. This training is for developers/designers with Progress 4GL experience, who want to learn non-intrusive customization techniques for component-based programs and functions (typically the new financials functions).

Part II, Customization using QAD Applications Features and Functions, covers the .NET UI application features that can be used by non-developers to customize both component-based and non-component based applications. This training is for system users with some QAD applications experience who want to learn how to do quick customization without real development effort.
