Process and Deliverables

The QAD MMOG/LE Self-Assessment Review begins with a brief overview of the MMOG/LE and OEM requirements. The QAD consultant will make a complete tour of the plant, observing how the plant operates and paying close attention to how information flow follows material flow. Critical processes such as electronic communication capabilities, order entry, scheduling and production planning, inventory control, shipping and goods received are evaluated.

Departmental interviews follow, using QAD's predefined format based on definitions in the MMOG/LE. Next, the consultant and assigned members of the customer's team review the six sections of the MMOG/LE: Strategy and Improvement, Work Organization, Capacity and Production Planning, Customer Interface, Production and Product Control and Supplier Interface.

The QAD consultant acts as the customer's guide through the assessment process: identifying audit information required by the OEMs; mapping existing processes to meet OEM-specific requirements and highlighting critical process gaps. The QAD consultant will then use the information gathered from the plant tour, interviews and collaborative review of MMOG/LE sections to complete the 206 points of the self-assessment and determine the final MMOG/LE self-assessment score.

Finally, the customer will receive a report that includes the customer's classification (A, B or C), a record of the proof points, and a road map for improving the MMOG/LE score. The QAD report will highlight the areas for improvement needed to meet MMOG/LE requirements, and provide concrete recommendations for addressing those issues with specific QAD applications or additional functionality.
