Transaction Watchdog™ - Stop Money Leaks in Real Time

Control’s Force Transaction Watchdog™ solutions address long-running business transactions - in contrast to IT transactions that are managed by QAD Enterprise Applications. Enterprises with multiple sites/divisions cannot monitor data across multiple QAD instances. That is why Transaction Watchdog™ is a first choice for manufacturers with multiple sites, across industries that are served by QAD (please note that Transaction Watchdog™ can also be used by a single site).

Control’s Force provides critical control capabilities to identify money leaks in real time; validates each and every A/P voucher before it is paid; detects any data discrepancy and process bypass in distributed system environment. All this is done automatically and without human involvement.

In order to catch insiders’ fraud schemes in time, the enterprise needs to monitor 100% of data discrepancies and make sure that no process is bypassed. Transaction Watchdog™ can mitigate occupational fraud without any understanding of QAD Enterprise Applications policy or controls.

Transaction Watchdog™ monitors business data extracted directly from Progress Database. Therefore, any exceptions caused by any system, user or network will be identified and reported in real time.

Product Architecture

The product architecture consists of three main parts: Adaptor, Engine and ARM (Alert Resolution Manager).

There are two CF Adaptors provided by QAD: Progress CF Adaptor connects directly to the database. This adaptor is designed for customers that do not use QXtend. QXtend CF Adaptor provides a much more flexible mechanism by simply sending data directly to the Engine. QAD supports these adaptors worldwide, insures customers with support, commitment and a seamless integration between QAD Enterprise Applications and Transaction Watchdog™.

Once the data is deposited into CF Depositor, the CF Core Engine will process and validate each message. Next, “money leaks” are sent to the ARM.

This architecture allows Transaction Watchdog™ to be deployed in the cloud as SaaS.

The Value for QAD Enterprise Applications

  • Enhanced control capabilities across multiple sites and processes.
  • Mitigation of operational risks that cannot be detected at one point in time and system.
  • Data connectivity served directly by QAD (no costly integration or data warehouse project).
  • Reduction of operational and control costs.
