QAD Vertex Sales and Use Tax Interface

QAD Vertex Sales and Use Tax supports US and Canada Sales Tax requirements using the Vertex Sales Tax management suite. Vertex Sales Tax Q Series TM automates the entire sales and use tax compliance process from the research and application of tax rules to the calculation of tax and automatic preparation of sales/use tax returns.

Working in conjunction with QAD Global Tax Management, QAD SUTI retrieves tax jurisdiction information from the Vertex Sales Tax Q Series system to calculate U.S. and Canadian regional taxes. The Vertex system contains current sales and use tax rates for every taxing jurisdiction in the U.S. and Canada—more than 7,000 locations—plus placeholders for more than 60,000 potential taxing jurisdictions.

Additionally, the Vertex Tax Decision Maker (TDM) program allows the definition of individual tax requirements by QAD application customer or supplier ID, customer or supplier tax usage code, item tax class, tax zone, site code, GL entity, or a combination of these criteria. TDM can be used to track exemptions or identify other kinds of exceptions that require special calculation.
