QAD and its Product Partners build comprehensive enterprise solutions tailored to the specific needs of global manufacturers in the Automotive, Consumer Products, Electronics, Food and Beverage, Industrial Products and Life Sciences markets.
By combining our leading-edge software technology with our partners' complementary products, we give our customers the ability to extend their enterprise software solutions with industry-leading technology. Product Partners make it possible for QAD to provide a broad spectrum of products that can anticipate and fulfill our customers’ diverse business needs.
Product Partner Program delineates four categories of involvement: Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) Partners, Development Partners, Interface Partners and Referral Partners. The program is based on the level of the partner's involvement with QAD. QAD and OEM partners mutually exercise the greatest level of involvement with one another.
OEM Partners are characterized by the following levels of involvement with QAD:
- Partner products are incorporated into the QAD product, with QAD performing any necessary programming to embed or integrate their products into our applications
- Partner receives QAD's support in selling, installing, and supporting their product as we would our own; partner's products are transparent to the customer
- In most cases, QAD initiates the partnership
Development Partners have a lesser degree of direct involvement with QAD:
- In most cases, QAD initiates the partnership
- Partner works directly with QAD to jointly develop a new API for integrating their products with QAD
- Partner jointly develops the interface with QAD
- Partner participates in joint marketing activities with QAD and shares in reciprocal sales leads
- Partner maintains direct involvement in all selling, leasing, installation, and support activities associated with their product
- Partner interface undergoes testing and achieves QAD software certification (fee applies)
Interface Partners exercise the following business opportunities with QAD:
- Provide product that interface with QAD Enterprise Applications either through proprietary QAD APIs or flat file data transfers
- Develop the interface independently with technical documentation and minimal design assistance provided by QAD
- Participate in joint marketing activities with QAD and share in reciprocal sales leads
- Maintain direct involvement in selling, licensing, installation, training, and support activities associated with their product
- Receive technical documentation that allows the partner to develop the interface with minimal design assistance from QAD
- Undergo interface testing and achieve QAD software certification (fee applies)
Referral Product Partners practice an independent relationship with QAD:
- No certification required for partner interface to QAD systems
- Participate in limited joint marketing activities with QAD and share in reciprocal sales leads
- Maintain direct involvement in all selling, licensing, installation, training, and support activities associated with their product
