QAD Manufacturing core product is made up of three primary functions:

• Product Data Management - Centrally manage all product manufacturing information by ensuring quick access to key information for use in planning and operations throughout the organization. Through the Product Data Management function, product design or engineering changes are integrated at maximum efficiency, allowing rapid response to customer demands while also ensuring regulatory compliance and the lowest possible obsolescence cost.
  
• Manufacturing Planning – Designed to speed operation, QAD’s Manufacturing Planning functions enable faster decision-making and more effective resource deployment. The Manufacturing Planning Modules convert external and internal demand for products into detailed manufacturing, procurement and resource utilization plans. Modules provide Material and Resource Planning capabilities range from enterprise level strategic planning functions through plant level Master Production Scheduling and Materials Requirements Planning.
  
• Manufacturing Execution – Easily adaptable to your production environment, QAD’s Manufacturing Execution functions fully manage mixed mode environments, enabling faster decisions and improved customer responsiveness. This solution controls all activities on the production floor, from identifying missing parts to reporting labor. Manufacturing modules provide a closed-loop environment with transaction, variance and lot/serial traceability reporting, lean manufacturing and quality management. Feedback on status, shortages, quality problems, or other issues is immediately provided

Along with these core features, QAD offers various add-on modules that enhance the core functionality for our customers that have specialized and more complex manufacturing environments. All these modules are fully integrated with QAD Manufacturing core.

• QAD Lean Manufacturing – QAD Lean Manufacturing is the most evolved suite of tools to support Lean Manufacturing techniques. This module is an ideal solution when customers start or are considering Lean Initiatives. It is based on a two-step Kanban support and coexists with standard techniques. QAD Lean Manufacturing provides complete functionality to map an extended value-stream, to establish and execute Kanban processes, both inside the manufacturing plant and with suppliers, and to implement effective pull systems by giving users the ability to tightly manage inventory throughout the value-stream.
• QAD Just-In-Time Sequencing – With JITS companies that produce, package and/or ship configured parts and assemblies can schedule and manage operations in sequence ensuring the right items are delivered to the customer’s production lines at the right time in the right sequence. JITS increases productivity through improved integration of engineering, costing, procurement, planning and financials processes
• QAD Planner - Planner is a finite capacity scheduling tool with a graphical user interface that resembles planning boards. It is a visual scheduling board quickly that all a Planner to quickly identify order delay giving them time to respond reducing the number of late shipments. The QAD Planner is well suited for complex Discrete or Repetitive environments.
• QAD Production Scheduler – QAD Production Scheduler is a scheduling workbench that provides Planners simple visualization of production schedule in a single screen. This scheduling tool gives schedulers real-time demand, supply and capacity visibility in addition to quantity-on-hand visibility in a single interactive screen, providing all the necessary information for Planners to quickly respond to demand, supply and capacity changes.
• QAD PRO/PLUS - PRO/PLUS is a collection of functional modules that extends the capabilities of core QAD Manufacturing. These enhancements have been developed collaboratively with customers to provide them with the tools they need to continually optimize performance and have become critical for our automotive customers and are and applicable to many other verticals as well.
