Sales Quotations

Sales Quotations supports the generation of multi-line sales quotations utilizing advanced pricing capabilities (promotional pricing, temporary price reductions, customer price lists etc) and supporting complex and high volume environments.

  • Allows the user to create responses to customer requests for quotes (RFQs), and maintain historical information on sales quotations to customers
  • Create sales orders by releasing Sales Quotes to Sales Orders/Invoices
  • Item up-sell, cross-sell and item replacement: identify similar or replacement items for discontinued items, items that are not available and additional complementary items
  • Enables win/loss analysis

Sales Orders

Sales Orders and Invoicing provide a variety of methods for order creation, credit verification, confirming orders, inventory allocation, picking and shipping products, processing invoices and handling returns.

  • Sales Orders can be created from Sales Quotes, received electronically using EDI or entered manually
  • Integrates with Pricing to accommodate a wide range of pricing situations, allowing for best pricing
  • Automatically transfers posted invoices to Accounts Receivable for aging, payment maintenance, and integration with General Ledger
  • Correction Invoices; create a correction sales invoice for an original invoice, keep track of the relationship between original and correction invoices, and print correction invoices that show original amounts, corrected amounts, and the difference

Sales Analysis

Sales Analysis monitors salesperson productivity and effectiveness as well as giving greater visibility on sales by product line or item:

  • Provides ranking of items by sales, margin, or quantity
  • Integrates with Sales Orders and Invoicing

Pricing

Pricing capabilities support automatic pricing during key order transactions. Two basic pricing models are used:

  • Best pricing for sales quotes and sales orders
  • List/discount pricing for scheduled orders

QAD Customer Self-Service is a complete Web storefront and self-service portal that can be tailored to integrate directly into a company Web site, supporting 7x24 order management and customer self service (tracking order status, availability, etc). QAD Customer Self-Service offers a personalized, secure order management system, with browser-based order entry and visibility.

QAD Demand Management

  • Automatically calculates economic order quantities, lead times and inventory levels using the intelligent planning advisor and user-defined business rules for inventory optimization
  • Optimizes safety stocks, service levels, reorder points, periods of coverage and lead times to ensure peak inventory management performance
  • Supports Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR) as driven from major retailers, allows seasonal trends and external data such as scan data to be input as causal factors to build forecasts by territory, brand, product SKU, etc.
  • Allows the analysis of load and capacity for both planned and actual workloads at an aggregate, constraint-focused level

QAD Trade Management

QAD Trade Management allows manufacturers and distributors to more effectively plan, manage and track trade (promotional) spending activities. QAD Trade Management provides the information to analyze and monitor promotional programs, track revenue and costs, compare them to budget and prior year, track sales by customers and products, plus process and track claims and rebates.
