Who is MAUSER?<\/h2>\n

Headquartered in Bruhl, Germany, MAUSER<\/a> is a worldwide leading producer of industrial eco-friendly packaging, including a range of plastic, steel and fiber containers. MAUSER\u2019s major focus is on expansion of their global presence and reconditioning business.<\/p>\n

Their Challenges<\/h2>\n

For MAUSER, the main challenge they were facing was keeping ahead of the curve. With the goal to expand, the company has to deal with a wide variety of customer needs and distribution challenges as well as the volatile global economy. They also had the challenge of accommodating different currencies, business, and tax practices of widely diverse cultures.<\/p>\n

The Solution<\/h2>\n

A customer of QAD since 1994, MAUSER decided that upgrading their ERP solution<\/a> was a strategic opportunity to align and optimize their business. According to MAUSER\u2019s CIO, Dr. Bernhard Rohde, \u201cWe took the ERP update project as an opportunity to reconsider our core business processes and to discuss, optimize, and document them on a company-wide basis.\u201d<\/p>\n

The upgrade proved to provide many benefits and improvements, mainly in the ease and speed of the financial closing process. The new user interface has also gotten great feedback on the ease-of-use as well as the better reporting functionality.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis upgrade was a major success for us,\u201d said Dr. Rohde. \u201cIt was a large project but the time frame from the first planning meeting to going live in Germany was only seven months \u2014 fast and right on schedule.\u201d<\/p>\n
