For those who don\u2019t know, James Womack is a lean production expert, author, and founder of the Lean Enterprise Institute. As a former research director of MIT\u2019s International Motor Vehicle Program, James directed a series of comparative studies of world manufacturing practices and led the research team that coined the term \u201clean production\u201d to describe the Toyota Production System. What makes James\u2019 presence so special, is that he only speaks at events where he has toured customer facilities. He calls it, the \u201cno walk, not talk\u201d deal. This year he\u2019ll be visiting his second QAD customer to get to know how they are using the technology to build their effective enterprise.
