[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”5994″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Unless you just don’t care about cars (it’s okay, not all of us do), you know that the “it car” of 2017 is the <\/span>Chevy Bolt<\/span><\/a>. The Bolt is Chevy’s new electric vehicle, and unlike the Volt, it is <\/span>all<\/span><\/i> electric. What makes this car stand out among other all-electric choices on the market is the price and range. The Chevy Bolt starts at $29,995 after you take into account Federal Tax Credit, and has a range of 238 miles. Throw in the state incentives you may get, and it’s quite a bargain!<\/span><\/p>\n

Chevy Bolt: “It Car” of 2017<\/span><\/h2>\n

The reason I refer to it as the “it car” is because of the tremendous accolades it has been winning. It started off the year winning the <\/span>2017 <\/span>Motor Trend<\/span><\/i> Car of the Year<\/span><\/a>, then the <\/span>2017 North American Car of the Year<\/span><\/a>, followed by the <\/span>2017 Green Car of the Year<\/span><\/a> by <\/span>Green Car Journal<\/span><\/i>. The Chevy Bolt has been making the rounds and impressing people, even those who did not expect it. Just read, <\/span>The Chevy Bolt: Ugly, Charming, and Sort of Incredible<\/span><\/i><\/a> to get an idea of what I mean. <\/span><\/p>\n

After seeing the Bolt in-person, I have to push back a little on the “ugly” comment, it’s not a bad looking car. Especially since one of my big gripes about electric vehicles is the unfortunate design they tend to have, with the exception of the gorgeous Tesla, of course.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Chevy Bolt: The Result of QAD Customer Success<\/span><\/h2>\n

I had a very up-close and personal encounter with the Chevy Bolt at our recent QAD Explore conference in Detroit. We had a Bolt at the entrance to the Solutions Expo, and we covered it with stickers. If you were there, you would have noticed that upon closer inspection, that the stickers corresponded to the many QAD customers and the parts they manufacture for the Bolt. The large display put the spotlight on our customers’ success such as <\/span>Lear seating<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>SMR side mirrors<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Metalsa structural components<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Cascade Engineering mirror brackets<\/span><\/a>, just to name a few. We’re so proud of all the great work our customers do, so you can imagine how exciting it was to show it off at our biggest event of the year. <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\"Chevy[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]It was a lot of fun; the customers highlighted on the car were thrilled to see it, and everyone else still got a kick out of it as well. Nearly every person who walked by was in the very least, interested in seeing an all-electric vehicle up close. Seriously, who doesn’t love to see a car <\/span>inside<\/span><\/i> a building? Especially when you can climb around in it and pretend to drive!<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\"QAD[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
