That\u2019s less than a year from now! Are you ready?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is something that is often on my mind, and I recently read a report from the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scautomotivecouncil.com\/events\/speakers\/cherie-reiche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IAOB (International Automotive Oversight Bureau) regarding the IATF 16949 certification progress<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. When I read this latest report, I was blown away to learn that: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only <\/span><b>five percent<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of IATF 16949 audits have been successfully obtained<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) standards are in the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scautomotivecouncil.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Fisher_DeGarmo_Reiche_Gray-IATF-16949-Panel-Discussion-CHS-Aug-25-v3-C.pptx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>top eight areas of audit noncompliance thus far<\/b><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Why Are so Few IATF 16949 Audits Being Completed?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That such a small percentage of audits have been completed tells me that either companies are not pursuing compliance aggressively or that they are still trying to interpret requirements in order to demonstrate compliance. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TPM being in the top eight noncompliance list, compels me to make sure that everyone is fully aware that plant maintenance programs are now under official audit scrutiny for IATF compliance. They will be audited, as cited in the top eight report.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Start Preparing for IATF 16949 Compliance Certification Now<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since I am personally passionate about plant maintenance and reliability (some would say downright nerdy), I also want to ensure that all my QAD cohorts are aware that <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">QAD Enterprise Asset Management (QAD EAM)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> successfully addresses each of these IATF standards for TPM per our internal review.
