Upgrade to QAD BI 3.7 from QAD BI 3.6.x
Preparation
1 Plan for a couple of hours of down time.
2 Ensure that there are no loads currently in progress. All jobs must be completed.
3 Put all scheduled jobs On Hold until the upgrade is complete. Shut down the scheduler.
4 IMPORTANT: Take a backup of the current warehouse database and the current portal database.
5 Before you begin, make note of the following:
• Note any custom DAILY_LOAD_JOBxxx jobs that appear after the final DAILY_MODULE_LOADS_FINISH jobs: ___________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________
• Note any custom HIST_LOAD_JOBxxx jobs that appear after the final POSTPROCESS_module_SUMMARY job: __________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________
When INITIAL_JOB_SETUP is run during the upgrade procedure to rebuild the history and daily job chains, place any custom jobs at the end of the chains. Take note of your custom jobs here and ensure that all jobs appear in the rebuilt job chain.
Important: This upgrade replaces some load and stage tables. If there are any customizations to these tables, ensure that they are ready to be made again.
