CPU Sizing for Concurrent User Workload (Interactive Portal Users)
“Interactive portal users” use their remote BI Portal-client user interface to execute queries against the primary DW server. “Concurrent User Workload” therefore refers to the load placed on the SQL-Server tier by the remote concurrent BI Portal users.
Multiple concurrent BI Portal users executing requests can place a large load on the SQL-Server data server. Hence, in this section, we are sizing for the SQL-Server tier, independent of a one-tier or two-tier deployment.
