QAD has such a variety of solutions in our product suite. This is because each solution has its own unique area “expertise” in a business.

Another way to think about areas of expertise is as “Domain Space”.

While it may appear that QAD BI shares some functionality in common with other QAD solutions, it occupies its own unique space.

As an example, our core product (often referred to as the “ERP” system for clarity in this training) is very focused on Financials and the critical pieces of manufacturing that enable organizations to deliver quality products on-time and profitably. The ERP system contains many disparate pieces of data. The BI allows business managers to see that data in a summarized, visual format that supports better decisions.

Consider the SCOR model. Organizations move from operational or execution tier to planning and optimization processes. At the strategic tier, Performance Management is important.
