This is a very simple example of rows of data in a Data Warehouse.

The columns Quantity Invoiced and Extended Price are Facts or Measures.

The columns Customer ID, Item Id and Invoice Date are Dimensions.

The column Invoice ID is an Operational Code. Operational codes are outside the scope of this discussion.
