Data Type Mapping Set
XML files have been created to store mappings from one set of data types to another. Setting this field to "(Default)" will cause Data Warehouse Designer to automatically select the relevant mapping set; otherwise you can choose one of the standard mapping sets from the drop down list or create a new one.

ODBC connection types have multiple load table types and locations that influence behavior:
Native ODBC load 
ODBC load - standard (single row inserts) in the scheduler
ODBC load - using direct path OCI in the scheduler   
 
 
Native ODBC Load
A Native ODBC load can have a number of source databases:
SQL Server
Oracle
DB2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows (the DB2 RED can build a warehouse in)
Teradata
Sybase
MySQL
DB2/400 (the DB2 that runs on AS/400 machines - quite different to above)
MS Access
Excel
