Database
Set Database to the server alias for the Database field, specifically the alias field for the IBM DB2 connection in the following DB2 Configuration Assistant screen:
UNIX
Note: UNIX connections are only supported from Oracle and DB2 data warehouses.
This section describes connections to UNIX. Tutorial 1 gives basic instructions for creating a connection. This topic describes in greater detail the connection properties as they apply to UNIX connections.
From a UNIX connection you can only do flat file loads.
TIP: If the connection type is Linux then the connection name must contain the word
Linux. This forces QAD Data Warehouse Designer to use /bin/sh shell instead of /bin/ksh shell.
