Jobs
Use Jobs to break down projects into subcategories. An individual job may be a different phase of a project, each with its own estimated amount, planned amounts, and actual costs.
Larger projects need to be broken down into many components, called jobs. Sometimes these jobs have smaller jobs, which collectively make up the higher-level job. That provides the flexibility to define the format based on your organization’s requirements. A primary reason for using the job format is to enable cost roll-up of jobs in reporting. You can add up to eight levels of formatting to the job number.
