Which Rules to Use and When

Did You Know
Similar to Internal Routing Assignment, algorithms can also be assigned to a transaction type or combinations of sites, warehouses, items, suppliers, or customers to provide even more flexibility.
Sequence in Algorithm Assignment Maintenance is different than sequence in Internal Routing Maintenance. Before, sequence was used as a start and stop control; meaning the system started with the first sequence and always completed the next sequence. Here, the sequence is cascading; meaning if the task can be completed using the first rule, the system stops. If not, it moves to the next rule (sequence).
There are four frames and 10 fields in Algorithm Assignment Maintenance used for configuration.
