The Master Schedule Detail Inquiry (22.21) provides more detail than the summary browse and the organization of data is different.

In the summary, the information is organized in general buckets of days, weeks, or months. In the detail, the information is organized chronologically by specific due dates, showing only dates that have a transaction.

The Master Schedule Detail Inquiry screen shows sources of demand—sales orders and forecasts in this example—and the MRP planned order to satisfy that demand along with the order’s release date.

In this example, the system has an initial quantity on hand of 24 items (Proj QOH column). This quantity covers initial requirements (5 and 15), so the system does not plan to release an MRP planned order until 04/19/2012. The items created on that work order will be used to fill sales orders over the next week.

Another work order is due to release on 05/19/12 to cover forecasted need and additional sales orders.
