This slide illustrates the relationship between service categories and invoice sort codes and how information is displayed in Call Invoice Recording (we will look at call invoice recording in more detail later).

Costs for all of the service categories related to labor are summarized by the Labor invoice sort. Since it is a Type L sort code, its output displays in the Hrs Cost column of Call Invoice Recording (CIR). The value specified for Row when the sort code was defined determines its position in the Billing Summary frame. The value for label determines the string that displays in the Billing Summary when different languages are being used.

The effect of the invoice sort code is also seen in the printed invoice presentation. Detail is included because the Det(ail) field is set to Yes.
