This figure shows the steps to create Service BOMs and Routings.

A unique BOM code must be setup in Service BOM Code Maintenance (11.19.1), it cannot be the same as the inventory item number.

The components used on the BOM are entered in Service Structure Maintenance (11.19.5).

At least one Service Work Center must be set up in Service Work Center Maintenance (11.19.17) with labor and burden rates and entered in Call Management Control as the default work center for service activities. Additional work centers can be setup and linked to routings in Service Routing Maintenance (11.19.17). Standard Operations can be created in Service Std Operation Maintenance (11.19.21).

As discussed in the previous chapter, the Service BOM/Routings can be attached as defaults in Service Item Data Maintenance (11.3.7). They can be added manually to calls and quotes.
