Material Orders Benefits
Using MOs can enhance your business processes in three areas:
1 Inventory Management. For inventory management, MOs provide functionality to manage the transfer of inventory from storage locations to the site/location where it will be used. Pick lists can be generated to facilitate retrieval from warehouse locations. The status of items on the MO is tracked, giving you immediate visibility. Shipment documents are automatically generated.
2 Planning. Items ordered on an MO create requirements for MRP, enabling you to plan for service needs.
3 Recording service activity in Call Activity Recording. Items can be tracked on a call basis, making all the power of CAR available to tracking and recording item usage. When items are ordered on an MO for a call, they can be loaded as item usage in Call Activity Recording.
