How you fill out the MO header determines the type of MO you are going to create: with a call, without a call, or expensed. Header information differs for each of the three types. Once the MO has been created, it cannot be changed. For example, if you create an MO without a call, you cannot go back later and add one.

If you link to a call, ordered items must be consumed against it or returned.

If they are neither linked to a call nor have a charge code is entered, the ordered items are transferred to the engineer location at shipment time.

If no call is entered in the Call field, but a charge code is specified, the ordered items are issued and costs are debited against the Service Expense account of the charge product line associated with the charge code.
