MO Without a Call: Inventory Transfer
An MO does not have to be attached to a call. The inventory transferred by an MO without a call is treated as general replenishment inventory for the engineer’s service stock. This method is used when it is not reasonable to track against particular calls, but you still need to track individual items.
Once all the items ordered on the MO ship completely, the MO is automatically deleted from the system. Full details about the transactions processed are included in the transaction history.
In this example, the MO does not reference a call and does not have a charge code specified, so it simply executes an inventory transfer. The engineer must be entered manually. On this kind of MO, the Ship-To defaults to the engineer and cannot be changed.
The value for Confirmed defaults from the setting in the MO Control. If No, you will have to execute MO Confirmations before trying to ship the MO. The entire MO shipment process can take place at one time if you entered orders as confirmed and set Ship Immed to Yes.
