Items ordered for a call are related to a specific call line. If you are creating an MO that is not referencing a call, the line number field is skipped by the system.

The MO line item entry screen is similar to what you would see in Sales Order Maintenance. However, for MOs, only items defined in the item master can be ordered. Items also cannot be configured, since these also are not considered “in inventory.” The list price as defined in the item master displays, but this field is for reference only, since no one is actually going to be paying for the MO.

The line reference feature enables users to create eight-character labels or references of their own choosing, and build custom reports for any MO activity line by line.
