To setup a cross dock:
1 Setup a sales order for an item with not enough inventory in stock.
2 Release the sales order.
3 Pick the sales order.
4 Receive more of the back ordered item.
5 Partial will go to shipping for merge with the open order.
6 The remaining will be routed to put-away.
