Customer Management Enhancements
Customer Credit Hold
In the previous versions, the system sets the Action Status for the customers on credit hold to HD regardless of the reason for the violation. Now you can define the action status codes for credit violations in Generalized Codes Maintenance and specify a code for each credit violation in Sales Order Accounting Control.
Before assigning codes for credit violations, define the action status codes first for all the following fields in Generalized Codes Maintenance:
• so_stat (for Sales Order, MO, and RMA)
• qo_stat (for Sales Quote)
• sa_stat (for Contract and Contract Quote)
Sales Order Accounting Control provides more options to control the display of customer credit status for different credit violations. When a credit violation occurs, the Action Status field is populated with the code specified for the credit violation. You can specify action status codes for the following credit violations:
• Customer on Credit Hold
• Fixed Credit Limit Exceeded
• Turnover Credit Limit Exceeded
• Maximum Days Overdue Limit Exceeded
The Action Status Selection Sequence field allows you to specify the sequence in which the system selects an action status code when multiple credit violations occur simultaneously.
SSM Accounting Control provides a new option, Use Action Status in Sales Order Accounting Control. This option enables the service transactions, such as contracts and calls, to use the action status codes specified in Sales Order Accounting Control.
Pre-Shipper/Shipper
You can now search orders by Ship Via code in Picklist/Pre-shipper-Automatic and Pre-Shipper/Shipper Print.
Customer Scheduled Order
A Zero Price Allowed for Cust Schedule option is now available in Sales Order Accounting Control. You can use this option to specify whether the system allows an item without price information (both List Price and Net Price set to zero) to be entered in a customer scheduled order.
Customer Item Cross-Reference
You can now use the Cust Item Required option in Customer Data Maintenance to control whether the items sold to a specific customer require a customer item number to be assigned.
Invoice Consolidation
The new Consolidate Invoices option in Customer Data Maintenance allows you to determine whether to consolidate invoices for specific customers when you confirm/unconfirm pre-shippers/shippers. The setting of this option overrides the setting in Cust Sched/Shipper Acct Control.
Sales Order Print
In Sales Order Print, a new option, Unprinted SOs Only, allows you to limit the selection of sales orders to the orders that have never been printed. This option does not interfere with the logic that updates the Print field on the SO trailer and allows previously printed SOs to be easily printed again.
Non-Inventory Item Validation
When you enter a non-inventory item in Sales Order Maintenance or RMA Maintenance, the system prompts you to confirm that you want to continue with the non-inventory item. In the previous version, only a warning message was displayed when you entered a non-inventory item.
Browse Collections and Dashboards
• The following role-based browse collections have been created for this release:
• Customer Service Manager in Customer Service Center
• Sales Manager in Sales Management Center
• VP Sales in Sales Management Center
• VP Sales Dashboard has been created and is available for download in QAD Store.
