Scheduled Reports: Exercise
1 Create a new batch ID
• Batch ID Maintenance
2 Create several scheduled reports in the batch
• Run report from menu, use Schedule button
• Make sure some have RunOnce=false, SaveFile=true
• Use View Schedule button to review
3 Configure and run a scheduled report server process
a A) From DOS prompt
b B) From Windows Task Scheduler
• Start > Control Panel > Scheduled Tasks
• Monitor batch runs using Scheduled Report Browse and Scheduled Report History Browse
4 Modify batch using Scheduled Report Maintenance
• Delete one of the scheduled reports from the batch
• Change some priority values to change order of running
• Run batch again and see if the behavior is as expected
