Container charges can be calculated in Serialization as in standard processing. In Serialization processing, containers are serialized packs. After a pre-shipper or shipper is confirmed, to calculate the container charges, the system calculates the number of the packs used.

So, to set up serialized container charges, besides the standard setup steps, one more setup step is to link a pack code to the container item. In Pack Code Maintenance, set up a serialized pack code with the Item/BOM Code used as the container item.

After a pre-shipper or shipper is confirmed, serialized container charges are added to the sales orders. You can view the container charges in the generated invoice.

When you unconfirm a shipper or return shipped goods, container charges are reversed accordingly.
