Business Requirement

Applying withholding tax for accounts receivable is a common business practice in Brazil, especially in the automotive industry. For details of the QAD solution to handle this requirement, see Withholding Tax for Accounts Receivable. To manage and validate taxes withheld, a Withholding Tax AR report enables you to identify taxes withheld from customers and to check that any differences in tax calculation between customer and supplier have been rectified in Open Item Adjustment Create (25.13.5).

QAD Solution

QAD has developed the Withholding Tax AR report to support Brazilian requirements.

Note: This functionality is available from QAD 2013 Enterprise Edition.

Running the Report

Use Withholding Tax AR Report (29.15.15) to run the report. The report returns information from legal documents containing taxes related to the specified tax group.

Withholding Tax AR Report, Selection Criteria

Entity

Specify the entity in which you want to produce a Withholding Tax AR report.

Ship-From

Specify the ship-from address for the Withholding Taxes AR report.

Ship-To

Specify the ship-to address for the Withholding Taxes AR report.

Tax ID - Federal

Specify the federal tax ID on which you want to report.

Legal Document Number

Specify the legal document number on which you want to report.

Effective Date

Specify an effective date for the withholding tax report.

Analysis Code

Specify an analysis code.

Payment Reference

Enter a payment reference number.

Payment Date

Enter a payment date for the withholding taxes to report on. When this field is blank, the report includes AR-side withholding tax for which payment has not yet been made.

Currency

Enter a currency to report on.

Absorbed Invoice Tax

This field specifies the type of withholding tax to report on. You can specify a single tax or a range of withholding tax types. This field is mandatory.

Daybook

Enter a daybook for the report used in Open Item Adjustment Create.
