Calculated fields require a specific return value in a specific format, and correct connection parameters for the AppServer.

To define a custom field as a calculated field, in the Calculated Program field you enter the name of the Progress program (.p) to be run on the QAD QXtend AppServer for the associated source application (use the AppServer parameter settings you specified on page here). The program determines the field to be used in the business object based on the destination domain.
