Convert the Admin Database
If you are coming from MFG/PRO eB2 only, follow these instructions to convert the administration database. If you are coming from an earlier version of the software, see
Converting the Source Version Databases.
1 Connect to the source admin database using the Progress Editor.
2 Dump all the tables into the QAD Standard Edition conversion /dump directory (the existing dump files can remain). Exit the Progress Editor.
3 Run MFG/UTIL and select File / Progress Editor.
Running in MFG/UTIL ensures the proper variables are set.
4 Type the following command:
RUN admconv.p
5 A pop-up window appears prompting for the target admin database location.
6 When the utility finishes, “complete” appears.
