Other Home Page Settings
Contact Details
You can set an e-mail address to be displayed by setting the CONTACT EMAIL value under the Look and Feel tab. Select the Is Set field and enter the address in the Value field. You can also display a phone number or contact text by setting the CONTACT PHONE and CONTACT TEXT values.
Configuring Default URLs
You can set a default home page for users or clients using the HOME URL system value. For example, if you want a user to have Package Exception Management as the home page, follow these steps:
1 Click Add User Value.
Note: To configure at client level, click Add Client/User Value.
2 In the User field, select a user using the lookup.
3 Enter /htm/pem.htm in the Value field and click Save Values.
When the user logs in or clicks the Home link in the title bar, the new default URL is automatically loaded. The ONLOGIN URL system value sets a new default login page. However, it does not set a new home page.
Landing Page
You can also configure a landing page to appear between the login screen and the home page.
1 In System Value Setup, under the More tab, select Message Board.
2 Set the USE MESSAGE BOARD value to Is Set and select yes.
3 Use the MB option to open Message Board Messages.
4 Click Create.
5 Specify:
When you want to display the message
If you want to display the message as a landing page or a home page
A category and a title
A short text and a full text version of your message
Any links you want to include
6 Click Update.
7 Select the Message Board Message assignments tab and choose the message you want to assign.
8 Choose to assign the message to a client or a user and click Update.
9 Log out and log in again to see the landing page message.
