Route, References and Containers Task
Use the Route, References and Containers task to record important information about truckload (TL) or less than truckload (LTL) shipments; this task is not typically used for small parcel shipments, particularly if they are domestic shipments. You may want to record information for inclusion in shipment documentation; for example, customs and freight payment information. Typically, you enter this data before manifesting the shipment, so that the documentation accompanies the shipment. Also, if you use a separate ERP system to track your shipments, the information you add in this task can be sent to the ERP system.
The Route, References and Containers task consists of four tabs:
• References and Partners
• Dates and Locations
• User Defined and Other
• Vessels and Containers
Note: The administrator can remove fields from each tab.
