Cancel or Reprint Label
If you discover an error with the shipment, or if the shipment is no longer necessary, it is possible to cancel the shipment. There are two methods for canceling a shipment; the methods affect the shipment in different ways.
Manifest task: When you cancel a shipment on the Manifest task, the shipment reverts from a rated state to a pending state. This means that the shipment no longer has a service assigned to it, and the tracking numbers are removed from the shipment packages. The shipment can be rated and shipped again later. Cancel or Reprint Label on the Transportation Management menu: When you cancel a shipment through the Cancel or Reprint Label screen, the shipment is removed completely. Your administrator can configure the system to archive the shipment as a V-type shipment. In this situation, you can view this V-type shipment using the Inquiry option on the Base menu. However, the shipment cannot be rated and shipped.
