We are thrilled to announce the latest release of QAD EQMS v2025.1! This version is a significant step forward, offering transformative improvements that drive efficiency, ensure compliance, and introduce powerful capabilities to dramatically simplify work for your teams.

We would like to thank all those customers who have submitted ideas in our Ideas Portal and especially those who collaborated with us to finalize requirements, review designs, and provide feedback on the final product for this release!

Key Highlights of the v2025.1 Release

Our latest innovations, especially in search, security, and inspection, are designed to reduce risk and maximize user adoption.

• Semantic Search: Moving beyond exact keywords, Semantic Search is a branch of AI implemented to return similar results, even when users use a synonym or a different word form. This saves time and ensures users can find data without needing to rely on precise words.
• Enhanced Document Security: We’ve added the ability to restrict the printing and downloading of documents that are converted to PDFs. This dramatically reduces the risk of old documents being used.
• Inspection Improvements: We have added the ability for the system to manage and prompt operators or inspectors when time-based inspections need to happen.

Driving Compliance and Efficiency

We’ve also delivered key improvements to core Quality Management processes:

• Interval/WIP Inspections: For medium- to high-volume discrete manufacturers, the system can now manage and enforce time-based inspections. Time-based inspections now appear with notifications to the operator when new samples are required.
• Streamlined APQP/Design Control Data: We created standard Data Load Management sheets for Projects, APQP Libraries, Family Templates, and Manufacturing Documents.
• Audit-to-Action: You can now create an audit finding directly from a Result and seamlessly escalate it to a CAPA or NCR from that finding.
• ITAR Compliance: We added the ability to set Items and Item Groups as ITAR Restricted. This setting can then default to related records such as Manufacturing Documents, CAPA/Nonconformances, and SCARs.

Extensibility and Architecture Updates

To support our modern architecture and continuous improvement philosophy:

• Hourly and By the Minute Scheduling: We’ve added Frequency Pattern Management options for Hourly and By the Minute to support more granular time-based inspections.
• Improved Time-Based Notifications: You can now specify an Action as an Alert type for Time Based Notifications, providing an on-screen prompt to the user.
• Detail Layout Copying: In AppXtender, you can now copy an existing detail layout in a process to use as a starting point for a custom layout.
• Technical Foundation: The application objects have been updated to the .NET 9 framework, and we have implemented cross-site request forgery, security headers, and cross-origin resource sharing to enhance site security.
