If a database link already exists to this source database then enter that link name in this field. If no link exists then enter a link name. Under some circumstances Oracle insists that this link name is the same as the tnsnames entry for the database, so it may be good practice to use the source SID as the database link name. If this is a new link then see the notes later in this section on
database link creation (see "
Creating a Database Link" on page
94).
Enter the defined SQL LINK name that points to the correct server, the link name does not need to be the same name as the server name.
