Change Status–Close or Cancel
When you create a physical inventory list, EAM assigns the Scheduled (S) status to the inventory header record. If necessary, you can close or cancel a physical inventory list by changing the status to the following:
• Closed (C). When a physical inventory list is closed, the system adjusts the counted quantities, based on what changed for the part/location. Adjust cost if needed, based on cost structure (LIFO/FIFO, and so on).
• Canceled (X). When a physical inventory list is canceled, the system abandons any pending transactions.
To close or cancel a physical inventory list, highlight the inventory header record and select Change Status. Double-click to select Closed (C) or Canceled (X).
