Exercise: Repetitive Setup
This exercise gets the system ready to perform the subsequent advanced repetitive exercises.
In this exercise you are going to switch to the Advanced Repetitive module. You then set up the basic information such as items, component items, and product structure that you will need to use the advanced repetitive transactions.
1 Use Cumulative Ord Accounting Close (18.9), and run with all the fields blank.
In the Output field, specify page. This closes any cumulative orders in the old repetitive module.
2 Choose Repetitive Control (18.22.24), and enter the following:

You are now ready to start using the Advanced Repetitive module.
Verify Items:
You will set up a production line Ultrasounds.
3 Use Product Structure Inquiry (13.6) to verify the structure for item 01020. There should be four level 1 components:
• 50010
• 60009
• 60051
• 90093
4 Use Routing Maintenance 14.13.1 to verify the route for item 01020. Set the following data for each of three operations, 10, 20, and 30.

This sets up reporting to automatically move an item to the next operation as soon as each unit is completed and will charge standard labor at completion.
5 Use Routing Cost Roll-Up (14.13.13) for site 10-100 and the Standard Cost Set, for item 01020.
6 Use Product Structure Cost Roll-Up (13.12.13) for site 10-100 and the Standard Cost Set, for item 01020.
Create New Inventory Location
For repetitive operations we choose to have the system to backflush components from a work center stock location. Our production line is going to be set up in work center 1000. We will set up an inventory location with the same code 1000.
7 Use Location Maintenance (1.1.18) to set up location 010-1 in site 10-100, with the description Prod Line 1 and inventory status code Y-Y-N.
8 Use Actual Pay Rate Maintenance (14.13.21) for employee 10-EMP01, Alex Ericson, verify his actual pay rate of 24.50/hour. Make the necessary changes. All reporting for our production line will be done by employee 10-EMP01.
