Exercise: Repetitive Picklist Calculation
Create Inventory
1 Use Receipts Unplanned (3.9) to inventory balances for the components required for the 01020. Receive the following into their default location.
50010 Implantable Ultrasound 500 ea.
60009 Probe housing 500 ea.
60051 Microprocessor 500 ea.
90093 Shipping Carton 5,000 ml.
Repetitive Picklist Calculation
2 Use Repetitive Picklist Calculation (18.22.3.1) to calculate a Picklist for your production line schedule. Enter Parent Item 01020 in both the from and to fields and specify site.
Leave the Detail Requirements and Delete When Done boxes Unchecked.
Set the output to page to view the result. Note the report shows none available in the work center stock location.
Run the report again with the Detail Requirements and Delete When Done boxes Checked. Note the system now sees work center inventory and shows daily detail. Also note the new Picklist number.
View Repetitive Picklists
3 Use Repetitive Picklist Inquiry (18.22.3.2), or Repetitive Picklist Report (18.22.3.3) to view any or all picklists. Note that the Picklist report shows the inventory has been allocated.
4 Use Repetitive Picklist Print (18.22.3.5) to print a hard copy Picklist for a stock clerk to use in picking and transferring material.
Repetitive Picklist Transfer
5 Use Repetitive Picklist Transfer (18.22.3.6) to transfer the items on the picklist from there inventory location to the work center stock location. Enter (or use the lookup) your Picklist. Click Next or Enter. The system retrieves the picklist item and quantities as allocated. You can over ride the transactions by changing the data in the lower frame. To transfer the entire Picklist as calculated, Click Next, then Back and confirm that all data is correct.
View Inventory
6 Use Inventory Detail by Item Browse (3.2) to view the inventory. You will see the inventory in the ProtoStk location as well as the production line location Proto.
