A subset of programs within the .NET UI use a component-based architecture that changes their appearance and supports some extra features. Within QAD EE, only Financials and some system administration programs are component-based. Component-based programs have individual maintenance programs for Create, Modify, and Delete.

The following slides illustrate both a non-component and a component-based example of each type of program.
